The Inescapable Question April 5, 2020

We have decided to forego services for the foreseeable future due to the extension of the no contact policy. Please reach out to the church leaders if anyone has any questions or needs. Always be in prayer that God will show mercy and that His peace will be upon us all through these times.

A Prayer of Faith

Lord, You are my strength. I will not panic. You help me relax and rest in quiet trust. You remind me that I belong to you. You restore my serenity.

Lord, You lead me in my decisions. You give me calmness of mind Your presence is peace.

Even though I walk through the valley of the fear of failure, I will not worry. You will be with me. Your truth, grace, and lovingkindness will stabilize me.

You prepare release and renewal in the midst of my stress. You anoint my mind with wisdom. My cup overflows with fresh energy.

Surely goodness and mercy will be communicated through me. For I shall walk in Your strength, O Lord, and will dwell in Your presence forever.        ~AMEN!

-adapted from a prayer by Lloyd J. Ogilvie

We have decided to forego services for the forseeable future due to the extension of the no contact policy. There will still be a service posted online each week for all to view. Please reach out to the church leaders if anyone has any questions or needs. Always be in prayer that God will show mercy and that His peace will be upon us all through these times.

Remember that God is still on His throne and is in full control.

Dear Church Family,

please remember Isaiah 40:25-31.

Isaiah 40:25-31 King James Version (KJV)

25 To whom then will ye liken me, or shall I be equal? saith the Holy One.

26 Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things, that bringeth out their host by number: he calleth them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one faileth.

27 Why sayest thou, O Jacob, and speakest, O Israel, My way is hid from the Lord, and my judgment is passed over from my God?

28 Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.

29 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.

30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:

31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

The Lord will give power to us, the weak, as we wait (trust & hope) in Him.

May we behold our God!

Pastor Don

Please pray for Don Shifflett, he is now under hospice care. He is becoming very weak. Pray that God’s grace will be sufficient.

During the past weeks, many changes have taken place in our world and country.  The crisis with the corona virus has led to the closing of schools, businesses, and even our churches.  Our government leaders, along with medical professionals, have urged extra precautionary measures to help insure safer health for all.
We have decided to cancel church services another week and resume services on April 5.  This is tentative planning at this time as we want to be as careful as possible. Also, the Easter Cantata has been cancelled and will plan to do it next year.  You can go on the church’s website or You tube to listen to the weekly sermon.  Please check the website regularly for other information and encouraging words.
Let us strive to turn panic into prayer, fear into faith, and confusion into peace.  We serve the true, all-powerful God who loves us in His Son, Jesus Christ.  He is Savior and Lord.  He is our solid Rock who will not be moved, shaken, or destroyed.  He is the Sovereign King – in charge and in control.  Let us draw near to Him.
Serving together in Jesus’ name,
Pastor Don

For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
